Peru redefines satellite-tracking equipment rules for small fishing vessels
Ministerial Resolution 00331-2026-PRODUCE, dated 21 September, amends the technical annex of the SISESAT vessel-monitoring regulation (Supreme Decree 001-2014-PRODUCE) that defines which vessels use each equipment type. Type D — an "alternative tracking system" — now applies to boats of up to 10 m³ fishing anchoveta or white anchoveta for direct human consumption, and to artisanal boats of up to 20 m³ that must be tracked but are not covered by Type C.
