What seafood species does Neptunus export from Peru?

Neptunus exports eleven premium species from the Peruvian sea: scallops (Argopecten purpuratus), giant squid (Dosidicus gigas), shrimp (Farfantepenaeus californiensis), anchovy (Engraulis ringens), hake (Merluccius gayi peruanus), butterfish (Peprilus medius), octopus (Octopus mimus), jack mackerel (Trachurus murphyi), flying fish roe (Cypselurus heterurus), Pacific bonito (Sarda chiliensis) and Pacific mackerel (Scomber japonicus peruanus).

What freezing methods does Neptunus use?

All products are IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) or block-frozen on plates, maintaining peak freshness from net to port. Cold chain is rigorously controlled throughout processing, packaging and export shipment.

Which countries does Neptunus export to?

Neptunus has shipped premium Peruvian seafood to China, Spain, Italy, Portugal, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Mexico and Chile, among other markets across Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Can Neptunus customize formats and packaging?

Yes. Cuts, glaze percentages, sizes and packaging are tailored to each market and customer specification. Contact our sales team for a quote.

Where is Neptunus located?

Our processing plant is in Sub Lote 01 S/N Tierra Colorada, Paita, Piura, Perú — Peru's main fishing port on the northern Pacific coast.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ depends on the species, format and destination market. Typically we work with full container loads (FCL 20' or 40') to keep cold-chain integrity. For smaller volumes, we coordinate consolidated shipments through our trusted logistics partners. Contact us with your target volume and destination port for a tailored proposal.

What are the payment terms?

We work primarily with Letter of Credit (L/C at sight) and Telegraphic Transfer (T/T). For first-time customers, terms usually include a deposit at order confirmation and balance at shipment. Specific terms and deposit percentages are negotiated per contract.

Do you provide quality certificates and export documentation?

Yes. We provide health certificates issued by SANIPES (Peruvian fishery health authority), certificates of origin, packing lists, commercial invoices and full traceability documentation for every shipment. Specific certificates (HACCP, BRC, etc.) can be arranged on request for customers that require them.

How long is the lead time from order to delivery?

Lead time depends on the species, format, season and destination. Typically 2–4 weeks from contract confirmation to vessel departure. Transit time to destination port varies: ~25 days to East Asia (China, Korea, Taiwan), ~30 days to Mediterranean Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal). We provide tracking and ETA updates throughout shipment.

Can I visit the processing plant in Paita?

Yes. We welcome customer visits and audits at our plant in Tierra Colorada, Paita, Piura. Visits are coordinated with our sales team in advance to ensure availability of our quality and operations team. We can also arrange virtual factory tours via video call for international clients.
